The NHL's last regular-season game to face off features a meeting between the NHL's worst two teams as the St. Louis Blues visit the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Blues' streak of 25 straight playoff appearances has come to an end, and they will finish with their third-lowest point total in franchise history. Only the 1978-79 team with 48 points and the 1977-78 club with 53 were worse.

Blackhawks finish with OT win over Blues

Kyle Calder scored at 3:20 of overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night as two of the NHL's worst teams concluded their seasons.

Calder netted the game-winner for the second straight contest, beating Jason Bacashihua from right wing.

Radim Vrbata and Dustin Byfuglien scored for the Blackhawks, who finished the season with two straight wins, but just three in their last 10.

Timofei Shishkanov and Scott Young scored for St.

Chicago's Kyle Calder finally ended nightmarish seasons for both the Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.

Calder scored at 3:20 of overtime Tuesday night to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 win over the Blues as two of the NHL's worst teams concluded their 2005-06 schedules.

Calder netted the winner for the second straight game, beating Jason Bacashihua from right wing after his pass attempt to Brent Seabrook was blocked.

"I tried faking a shot, then sliding it over," Calder said.

Morrow goal lifts Stars in eight-round shootout

After one-sided victories over the Chicago Blackhawks in their first three meetings this season, the Dallas Stars didn't figure to get much of a fight.

This time the Blackhawks made the Stars sweat.

Brenden Morrow scored in the eighth round of a shootout to give the Stars their 11th victory without a loss in the NHL's new tiebreaker, a 3-2 decision over the Blackhawks on Friday night.

Kyle Calder broke a tie with a third-period goal and Nikolai Khabibulin
made 33 saves as the Blackhawks beat the Blue Jackets.

Steven Reinprecht has found a home alongside Shane Doan.

Reinprecht had a goal and two assists, and Doan added a goal and an assist, and the Phoenix Coyotes held on to beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 Thursday night for their third straight win.

Paul Mara and Geoff Sanderson also scored for the Coyotes, who have won three of four including two against Chicago in the past five days.

Tom Preissing scored on a power play 1:24 into overtime on a shot from the high slot Sunday night and the surging San Jose Sharks beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4.

Kyle Calder's power-play goal with 1:12 left in regulation tied it for Chicago at 4. The Blackhawks had a 6-on-4 skating advantage after pulling goalie Nikolai Khabibulin, and Calder tipped in a shot past Vesa Toskala.

Joe Thornton finds his teammates when they have the best angle to shoot and gives them the puck at the split second they're open.

He's been doing it since joining the San Jose Sharks nearly four months ago. It's a reason they're back in the Western Conference playoff picture.

Thornton got the puck to Tom Preissing, who scored the winner 1:24 into overtime Sunday night with a slapper from the high slot as the Sharks beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4.
